Painfultruth.org is a new website dedicated to the welfare of animals in America. Our mission is simple to help educate the public of abuse and neglect as well as the reality of the fact there are millions of pets that are homeless. We also encourage the public to volunteer with their local shelters and rescue organizations.
Painfultruth.org is also in the process of building a network of volunteers across the country to help rescue death row dogs. We need foster homes and people available to do transports.
All of this takes a huge effort and many people to make happen. If you would like to help with out with painfultruth.org here are some areas we need some help.
Fostering
Do you have room in your home for a death row dog until they are accepted into rescue or help adopt them out? We keep a databse of foster homes across the country that are able to help out. At times there is no rescue where the animal is or maybe there is no room in rescue. You would temporarly foster the dog until it is accepted into a rescue or until it is adopted out.
At this time we can not assume vet bills for these animals and they must be a donation out of pocket from the fostering family. We hope as our mission grows we will have the funding for their vet bills.

Transporting
One of the biggest things that can be done to save death row dogs is to volunteer transporting them. Many times there is a rescue somewhere else that can take the dog in, a foster home that is not near the dog that can help and they just need a ride. Transports can be short or lengthy. It is a network of volunteers that just make it happen and give what they can.

We will only be accepting a total of three admins that must work together with the owner of the website. We are currently looking for a charity planner for our website. The volunteer will be responsible for coming up with creative ways to raise money for the website and rescue operations. They will be responsible for all aspects of raising money for this website and must have a creative drive to make it a success! The website team will assist in bringing the charity planner's ideas to life on the site. Eventually as the website holds volunteers in more areas the charity planner will also help our volunteers raise funds in their local areas to support our mission.
